The company’s rice-processing plant is located in Narang and Muridke, where it employ the latest in cutting –edge technology and utilize the most advanced equipment. There are sorting machines from Sortex of Japan, advanced de-stoning and de-metalling machines, huskers, graders and polishing lines, to name but a few.

Procurement:
Till date, the company can provide trace ability for its products in mandis (granaries, where the harvest is stocked for sale) to the end product.
The company has entered into contract with various big farming companies for procurement of Basmati and Irri paddy direct from farmers. This is one of the recently formed strategic management decision by the top management, which is the first step towards backward integration.
Quality Control Laboratory:
An in-house state of the art Quality Control Laboratory was set up last year to assure the check and balances of the attributes of the paddy. It also ensures standardization of quality, texture and color of the Basmati, Irri and allied products.

EXPORT PROCEEDURE:
Burraq Rice has affiliations with various shipping companies and agencies, which facilitates us in chattered shipments and also in small consignments. We have our own activity of chartering division for chartering of vessels and fulfilling our C&F/CIF obligations, which help in timely execution of our shipments and deliveries of cargos at destination according to buyer's requirement and satisfaction. We have our offices at ports. We have engaged professional staff with full-fledged knowledge and experience of shipping procedures. They ensure proper warehousing chartering and loading of goods at port.
We are required to have our own warehouses at port, which can store agro products before shipment. These warehouses are properly ventilated and fumigated regularly, under requisite temperature. This ensures the maintenance of quality of agro products at pre-shipment stage
This is very essential because even slight carelessness would spoil the quality of agro products. Further the normal transit period to reach cargos at destination in about 15/25 days. Hence we have also to ensure that the goods are loaded in vessels/containers in perfect condition having proper verification and temperature, which maintain the quality of our product even during transit period. We are Our success therefore lies in maintaining stringent quality controls at both pre-shipment and post shipment stage. Timely delivery of cargo in perfect condition is ensured.

Matters regarding packaging are handled on case-to-case basis. The packing material available for packing is JUTE BAGS, PP BAGS and HDPE BAGS. - Packaging is done on buyer’s requirement basis. - Per containers usually carry up to 25 tons of rice.

Burraq rice mills is located in a pollution free, picturesque ambience filled with hillocks in the historical city of Muridke, Punjab. For centuries Muridke has been the center of agro-trade as it lies in the center of Punjab, just 37km north of city of Lahore. Lahore is also the provincial Capital of Punjab and Pakistan’s main economical and commercial hub for Rice. The head office of Burraq Rice is located in Lahore.
Rice milling is a gigantic and well established industry in Pakistan. Though most of the mills in Pakistan do not use automated and advanced technology for milling rice. FS Rice is one of the very few rice milling companies in Pakistan to integrate highly technologically advanced machinery into its milling process. It is due to this factor, we are able to minimize our cost of production and maintain high quality standards.
Rice milling industry does not only mill rice. It also carries out many other essential functions, such as procurement, parboiling, drying, storage, quality control, utilization of by-products, etc. It has aimed at providing an excellent value proposition to the Indian and global consumers. This milling process is accomplished by our state of the art plants. These plants are fully automated through the entire chain of processing of rice from paddy stage to the packaging of the final product.
Production is fully computer-aided, with state of the art cameras to detect impurities, maintain quality, color and size. The company has led the industry with continuous innovation. Be it in production (computerized sorters, graders, separators, destoners etc, installation of cameras to detect impurities), or world- class quality standards, or consistency in product attributes, or packaging (introduction of smaller consumer packs through modern pilfer- proof packaging).
